The Ferguson Memorial 5K Run/Walk
Starting from Alder Street Arena, this new event celebrates the lives of Heidi
Ferguson (nee Bogner) and Hugh Ferguson. September 12th, 2010. Go to.......
Mono Cliffs Run - for The Bruce Trail Conservancy
Just recently announced, an event to raise funds for the special purchase of trail
currently owned by the Toronto School Board in the Boyne River area.
September 11th, an 8k - 5 mile challenging trail run. Go to www.monocliffsrun.info
Mono Nordic Ski Club Announces 11th Annual Trail Run Date.
Sunday, September 26th at Monora Park just minutes north of Orangeville. As
usual they will have a kids' 1.5k run along with a 5k and 10k trail run. This year
they hope to add a couple of twists to the day. How about a unicycle race??!! If
you ride a unicycle, perhaps you should contact the club as I do not believe there
are many such events in Ontario. Also considering a 20k event. All plans are not
complete yet so stand by.
Caledon, C-3 Kinetico Running Festival
Year 3 sees big Changes.
Forget that big hill on Innis Lake Road (an evil thing). This year the 5k will be nice
and easy and fast on the Caledon Railtrail. The 10k will be half trail and half rolling
Centreville Road. Always a great family event with a great kids' 1 miler. This is
the race to bring your young ones to. Also a new date...October 2nd.

Sun Shines on Summer Solstice Mono Cliffs Trail Run!
June 19th, 7:00 pm start time. 197 finishers. Runners on the 10K route got their
feet a little wet. They also got to see the new beaver dam unless too busy
watching the path beneath their feet for roots and stumps. Everyone loved (or
hated) the cliff face climb and stair climb. It is what they call a "technical" course.
Kim Gillies and Karen Gillies presented a cheque for $2000 to the Bruce Trail
Dufferin Hi-lands Club. Thanks to all.
